The end to UGLY flash photos...
Wow! Judging by the response to David Pogue's New York Times piece, there's a small army of people out there who hate UGLY flash photos as much as I do!!
We've sold out lots of models, are expecting a new shipment from our manufacturing plant next week, and have had to place ANOTHER order already...
I wanted to share this great news with you, early adapters, since you saw the light so early on!

Congratulations! I figured the tsunami would be coming your way. Well deserved.

According to your website, you do not have a lightscoop model specifically for the Sony A100. It's a relatively new camera(formally Minolta) and I wondered if any of the avialable models would fit the Sony?

Although we don't have a Lightscoop compatible with your camera at this time, I am working on other models now that we have a better understanding of the demand. That doesn't mean, of course, that we will necessarily be able to develop one for your camera.
This link on our site addresses the issues involved in bouncing the pop-up flash:

Keep in mind that there will be some camera models that will never have sufficient power to bounce the light. This is something we have to determine while testing.
I will be providing updates on this blog if you wish to subscribe to follow our progress.
Thanks again for writing -- and happy new year!

Is there anyway that a Scoop would be compatible with my Sony VX2000 video film camcorder? Thanks.
