More bounce lighting with a pop-up flash

We're working hard this week to finish up our website, http://www.lightscoop.com. I was preparing some of the materials when I started fooling around with these comparison shots. Then I thought they'd be interesting for the blog, too. Still not touting the Lightscoop as a replacement for an external flash except for casual use, but I do think it holds up pretty well in a direct comparson. The last shot is with the warming version of the Lightscoop. I've designed one with a gold-tinted reflective surface. Putting a gel in front of the strobe cut down the output of  the flash too much. The pop-up flash produces just enough light to bounce effectively in the right circumstances — light-colored ceiling no higher than 8-10 feet (light-colored wall no further than 3-4 feet). It's also necessary to use camera settings that take in the most light — the widest aperture and an ISO of 800.
