Bounce light results with the pop-up flash - no more red eye
Bouncing the flash eliminates, among other things, red eye. Because bounced light comes from overhead or from the side, the blood-vessel-rich eyeballs no longer reflect light coming directly from the on-camera strobe (the one aligned with your forehead, remember?). When I was first testing my Lightscoop™ prototype, I rousted Betsy, my wife, from bed early one morning to test the Lightscoop's effect on red-eye. She won't let me show those pictures. Instead, here's Michael McParland, who worked with me on the final design of the Lightscoop. No more tinkering in Photoshop, no more irritating pre-flash. And, produced with the pop-up flash in a Nikon D70.
